Scotland-based gas turbine support company, Score Energy, has successfully transitioned to the latest revision of a globally recognised aerospace standard, meaning it can continue serving the aviation, space and defence sectors with the latest approvals.
Scotland-based aero-derivative gas turbine company, Score Energy, has expanded its Field Services division, adding an instrumentation and controls department generating a significant number of jobs.
The organisation, which is a subsidiary of Score Group, already has extensive customer demand for technicians and engineers to attend sites globally, carrying out routine inspections and maintenance, providing first hand professional assistance on their aero-derivative and light industrial gas turbines. The division delivers troubleshooting capabilities – mechanical or controls, Boroscopic inspections, gas turbine installation and commissioning, onsite repairs, engine removal or re-installation, site assessments and vibration analysis.
The SPE Aberdeen Offshore Achievement Awards, now in its 32nd year, is an annual event organised and hosted by the Society of Petroleum Engineers Aberdeen Section (SPE Aberdeen), and supported by Offshore Europe. The event, which is the biggest and longest established oil, gas and renewables industry awards for the UK offshore energy sector, honours the achievements of UK wide companies who have exhibited attributes of excellence over the last year. The 2018 awards categories will continue to celebrate both company successes and individual achievements, covering a wide variety of topics including innovation, collaboration and business growth.

Score Subsea and Wellhead Limited a subsidiary of Score Group plc is delighted to announce the unveiling of its deepwater test tank at new facilities in Aberdeenshire.
The Fort Hills oil sands mining project is being developed as an open-pit truck and shovel mine. The project is planned to mine and process 110 million tonnes of oil sand per year, yielding an average of 194,000 barrels of bitumen per day at full production. The mine life for recoverable resources is expected to be approximately 50 years.
Score Group is seeing the green shoots of recovery in the global oil & gas industry and intends to continue to plan for the future by increasing the size of its apprenticeship scheme in 2017/18. Continue reading
