The Scottish IMechE Engineering Craft Competition is an annual event that brings together the best Mechanical and Electrical engineering apprentices in Scotland.
The Scottish Apprentice Craft Competition 2015 will be taking place tomorrow (Thursday 18th June). This year, the competition is returning north after a few years and will be hosted for the first time by Peterhead Engineers Development Limited.
Mark Hunt, the 129th President of the IMechE paid a visit to Score Group plc on Thursday 26th March to present a number of Score’s senior apprentices with highly-valued EngTech certificates and to present a member of the Score engineering team with his CEng certificate. The presentation was performed at a lecture in the presence of Score’s 4th, 5th and 6th year apprentices who were joined by directors of the Score Europe board, the apprentice Training Team and also the Chairman of Score Group, Charles Ritchie.

On the 27th June the annual Scottish IMechE Engineering Craft Competition was held with the top engineering apprentices in Scotland competing for the much coveted titles.
On Thursday 25th April the Institution of Mechanical Engineers held a seminar at the AECC which looked at the theory behind the use of bolted joints in pressurised systems and the sustainability of their performance over time.
A Score (Europe) Limited female apprentice has been awarded the runner up prize in the ‘Institute of Mechanical Engineers Apprentice of the Year Award’.
At a ceremony held at the Score Vital Training and Conference Centre in Peterhead, a Score Apprentice was rewarded for his achievement in coming runner-up in the prestigious Annual Scottish IMechE (Institution of Mechanical Engineers) Engineering Craft Competition for 1st-year Apprentices.
A group of six Score apprentices travelled to London on Wednesday 29th February 2012 to visit the IMechE headquarters (Institute of Mechanical Engineers).
