Score awarded actuator service and maintenance contract for Valero Energy
Score Group, a specialist in valve actuation and engineered solutions has won a service level agreement covering critical flow control assets for Valero. Valero is the world’s largest independent oil refiner; it owns and operates 15 refineries across the US, Canada and the UK. The logistics department is responsible for the critical running of the pipelines and terminals that transport, refine and distribute the essential fuels and other petrochemical products on which we currently rely. These essential operations are actuator intensive. Score Europe and Valero Logistics UK have announced the awarding of a contract on these sites for the maintenance of electric and electro-hydraulic actuators from industry leading flow control manufacturers Rotork.

Score deliver reliable retrofit automation for 100 year old penstocks
Flood control penstocks at a major UK reservoir have been automated with the design and installation of new actuators and gearboxes as part of an extensive upgrade programme. The end user wanted to automate the existing manually operated penstocks to provide reliable and fast operation in severe weather conditions. In a contract awarded to Score Europe by WA Cooke engineering, Score undertook the design and automation while WA Cooke serviced and repaired the penstocks. WA Cooke was appointed as Lead Contractor.
