Under the EU Regulation (EU) 2024/1787, energy sector operators in the European Union must take urgent action to meet new methane emissions regulatory compliance.
By May 5, 2025, you should have submitted a leak detection and repair (LDAR) programme, describing LDAR surveys, activities and timelines. By August 5, 2025, you must carry out the first type 2 LDAR survey and submit your first report to the relevant competent authorities.
