The world has changed. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has heighted the global response and commitment to a greener economy which was first ignited in the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement, where international governments signed a pact to transition to a lower carbon economy.
At Score Group, we are equipping ourselves to ensure our five decades of experience in valve management services are fit-for-purpose to support your challenges and efforts in a green economy.
Here are just some of the projects we are focussed on across our business, so that we are ready to support your journey to net zero.
Helping you to achieve sustainability in your operations through targeted emissions reduction. Our Emissions Elimination Program (EEP) focuses on enabling a step-change to the lowest possible emissions, not just marginally reducing emissions, to support your position as a market-leading, sustainable and responsible process operator.
Hydrogen and Ammonia Service
Supporting your reuse of gas valve infrastructure for transportation. Valves are the critical component in every industry sector and prior to commissioning (and during their life cycle) they require testing and qualification to ensure they are fit-for-purpose.
At Score Group, we have extensive, valve engineering knowledge and specialist testing facilities across our group and can help industry accelerate its efforts to reach net zero.
Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) and Carbon Capture with permanent Storage (CCS)
We are working to ensure your infrastructure can support carbon capture/storage through the provision of valves for supply, testing, maintenance and asset management across their life cycle. We also have extensive valve engineering knowledge to assist with the compilation of material datasheets and valve specifications to ensure the products supplied are robust and fit for your requirements.
Score’s engineering services can provide technical guidance from build, to delivery, of your renewable energy project.
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)
Score’s total valve management services will suit any industry or plant where valve reliability is critical to efficient operation, including LNG train turnarounds where our engineering services and testing capabilities will support your infrastructure.
Developing energy transition innovation teams
This has begun through a review our portfolio of products and services to ensure we can support both our current and future customer base; particularly around emissions reduction and our valve management services - including specialist testing to make sure your existing infrastructure is suitable for hydrogen operations.
Valve/actuator recycling for operators
Offered through our extensive and purpose-built facilities, accredited by ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 14001:2015 (Environment) and OHSAS 45001:2018 (Safety), which can provide a range of benefits including a reduction in downtime, a managed supply chain and the inevitable cost savings of commissioning maintenance, repair and overhaul valve services – alongside reduction in your carbon footprint.
Next generation skills
We are an independent apprenticeship provider and many of our time-served apprentices are now senior leaders within our company. However, to support industry requirements for a multi-disciplined energy workforce and in support of a greener economy: we are working to ensure our craftspeople have the skills and competencies to support your needs.
Environmental management throughout
Score Group is committed to the continual improvement of our Environmental Management System; continual enhancement of our environmental performance; the protection of the environment; the prevention of pollution and to comply with all applicable environmental legislation, regulations and other requirements that impose duties both on the organisation and our partners.
Training across the energy space
At Score Group, we have been providing worldwide technical training solutions to oil and gas and other valve-using process industries for over a decade.
This enables us to review your current requirements and support your developments across the energy transition, including fugitive emissions.
