Accounts Assistant (Gas Turbines)
About the Role
You will be a part of the Gas Turbines finance team, assisting in the delivery of accurate and timely financial information.
- Responsible for managing cashbooks and Bank Reconciliations, including processing to system and assisting with weekly cashflows and cash sheets.
- Set-up Supplier payments on the bank and any other adhoc payments.
- Responsible for Credit Control function and maintenance of customer accounts on system.
- Responsible for monthly credit cards function.
- Accounts Payable – provide assistance during holiday period.
- Assist with month end journals preparation and processing.
- Assist with monthly reconciliations.
- Assist with preparation of month end reporting packs and other Group reporting.
- Perform account analysis as required.
- Assist with year end reporting and audit requests as and when required.
- Assist with reporting of Operational Metrics.
- Any other tasks as reasonably expected of the role.
- Understanding of accounting processes and ability to learn quickly
- Would be suited to someone looking for a career in finance at varying stages of their career up to part qualified
- Experience in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial but not essential
- Good Microsoft Excel skills
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Produces good quality work in a timely manner
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Team player
- Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
