Accounts Payable Manager

About the role

The Accounts Payable manager will oversee the accounts payable function ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments.  They will lead a team, implement best practices, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Manage the accounts payable team in Peterhead and KL, providing leadership, training, and support.
  • Oversee invoice processing, approvals, and payment runs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage AP transfer from legacy systems to Microsoft D365.
  • Maintain supplier relationships, resolving queries and disputes promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance teams to align processes.
  • Prepare reports and analysis on accounts payable performance and KPI’s.
  • Support month end and year end closing activities.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable management.
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (D365 desirable) and excel.
  • Knowledge of international payment processes and multi-currency transactions.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work well as a team member and to take own initiative
  • Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Commitment to continual improvement and a flexible approach to change
  • High standard of numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
