Customs Co-ordinator (Gas Turbines – Peterhead)

The Customs Co-ordinator will be responsible for carrying out any administrative duties relating to HM Revenue & Customs within their department. All work shall be carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures and work instructions

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.

Provide import clearance instructions for a variety of imports – FCG, IPR, OPR & RGR. Create a file for each import and update all relevant registers.

Create export documents for all shipments of goods to outside of the EU.

Liaise with customers regarding which documents they require for the shipment – customs invoice, packing list, repair value declaration etc. Update file and all relevant registers with export details.

Request import C88, export NES & AWB documents from agents and freight providers if not received. Check that each document is correct as per instructions given. Request amendments where required.

Track all imports and exports on the relevant tracking websites ensuring that there are no delays in getting goods delivered.

Check off monthly MSS Import and Export reports received from HMRC ensuring that all recorded against Score Energy are claimed.

Transfer parts from IPR to Customs Warehousing and vice versa, update all relevant files and registers.

Identify parts to be scrapped, request value from scrap merchant and prepare/submit scrap form to HMRC.

Prepare certification for scrapped goods, file accordingly and update all registers.

Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft packages is essential

Previous experience in a customs role advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
