Document Controller (Peterhead)

Temporary Contract – up to 12 months.

At an exciting time to join Score’s Engineering team, we are looking for an enthusiastic Document Controller to work in our team on a temporary basis. The Document Controller will provide support with drawing and engineering projects produced in association with the process requirements in the manufacture and repair of components via the Engineering Department and Drawing Office. They shall also provide support to the Engineering Department with the completion and validation of FAIRs for new and existing products.

  • Acquire data for the purpose of completing monthly KPI values and identification of departmental failures and non-conformances then tracking and corrective actions as allocated by the Engineering Manager
  • Monitor and register Engineering / TQ / Drawing Office requests and queries sent to the Engineering team
  • Maintain and update Engineering / Drawing Office job register and filing system
  • Issue drawings and FAIR checklists as per drawing requests
  • Close and file all completed Engineering / Drawing Office jobs
  • Collation and quality control of documentation for the purpose of First Article Inspections Report generation of engineering products and SAAT projects
  • Review and update to Proarc with all backlog and new FAIR Projects for Engineering and SAAT Departments
  • Coordinate the administration of projects for component re-engineering for gas turbine parts and SAAT components in compliance with SEL Tollgate procedure and AS9100
  • Administer Document change and distribution
  • Create, register and distribute Technical and in-house Service Bulletins
  • Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
  • Modern apprenticeship or;
  • NC or HNC Qualification in Administration
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft packages in essential
  • Previous experience in a similar role advantageous but not essential
  • Previous experience of ProArc and Qpulse systems advantageous but not essential
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a team but also take own initiative.
