Draughtsperson (Canada)
At an exciting time to join the Score Group team based at our facility in Paradise, Newfoundland, Canada. We are seeking a proactive Draughtsperson to support activities. Reporting to the Operations Director, Workshop Administrator will ensure seamless operations and uphold our high standards across all facets of our workshop activities.
We are looking for Draughtsperson with a mechanical or manufacturing background to support our Drawing and Engineering Office teams in their day-to-day duties. The Draughtsperson will participate in the design or modification of valve components, tooling and fixtures using AutoCAD drawing software.

Candidates must be able to effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.

- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.
- Knowledge with AutoCAD and willingness to explore alternative CAD software.
- Liaise and support both the Engineering and workshop departments to produce drawings in the design or modification of components, and tooling.
- Develop drawing packages pertinent to outlined requirements,
- Accurately take dimensions for mechanical components; produce clear and concise hand sketches from the workshop floor; and be able to reproduce these dimensions into detailed scale manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD or a similar drawing office package.
- Maintaining competency in technical design standards.
- Other drafting duties and technical support as assigned.
- Will have a post-secondary education in computer aided design, OR equivalent experience.
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs required.
- Experience within a drawing office environment within the mechanical drafting discipline.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other platforms.
- Be familiar with workshop/manufacturing processes, and ideally have relevant experience in dimensional checking of mechanical components.
- Ability to work independently, following training.
- Excellent attention to detail.
