Electrician (Gas Turbines – Peterhead)
Electrician: Supporting our Gas Turbines division with Electrical maintenance duties as required
This is great opportunity for someone looking to develop their electrical skills and knowledge within our state-of-the-art aerospace component manufacturing workshop and industrial gas turbine test facility. The Electrician will be responsible for any installations, repairs, testing, preventative and reactive maintenance of all electrical equipment within their assigned area or workspace. They will have experience of working with a range of different electrical systems and scenarios in a safe and competent manner in compliance with all current standards and regulations.
- Installation, testing and maintenance of single and three phase distribution systems, machinery and general electrical equipment
- Maintain accurate planned and reactive maintenance records and ensure that captured data is entered into the appropriate information management systems
- Carrying out breakdown response including troubleshoot, diagnose and rectification while minimising production down time
- Carry out operations in accordance with Permit To Work system and adhere to Lock Out Tag Out isolation procedures to ensure safety to personnel
- Ensure competence in the electrical safety procedures and to be certified as Authorised Electrical Person
- Carry out fixed and portable appliance testing
- Liaise with manager, supervisors and collaborate with wider team members to drive forward electrical solutions
- Completed a modern apprenticeship programme
- S/NVQ Level 3 or above in an electrical engineering discipline
- BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- ATEX/UKEX/IECEx competent or qualified (preferred)
- FICA (preferred)
- Experience of installation, repair and maintenance of single and three phase electrical systems in an industrial environment
- Fault finding
- The ability to read schematic drawings and circuit diagrams
- Maintenance of production machinery within a high volume environment
- Previous working experience in a large workshop or factory facility is preferred
- Effective communication skills
