Field Instrument Engineer
About the Role
Exciting opportunity to join Score A/S Technical team in Norway.
You must be resident in Norway to be eligible to apply for this role.
The Field Instrument Engineer is part of the Technical Department and gets assigned work tasks and reports to the Technology and Technical Services Manager.
The employee should be a service-minded company representative and actively seek to find proper technical solutions, which are fully in compliance with the client requirements and specifications.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in Engineering work and technical solutions.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions.
- Point of contact in Norway for Score Developed Acoustic System.
- Cost estimating and executing of projects/site/offshore.
- Compile Engineering reports and procedures.
- Provide technical support to Sales and Production teams on Instrumentation related issues.
- Verifying the technical basis for ordering Instrumentation.
- Investigate and produce ‘Failure Analysis’ for customer.
- Supporting clients with analysis of system data.
- Participate in building and maintaining a good and proactive HSE culture in the company and in systems / installations where the company operates.
- Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
Technical College or bachelor’s degree
- Experience with instrumentation such as pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, strain gauges, position transmitters, acoustic sensors or vibration sensors.
- Experience with communication protocols such as 4-20 mA, 0-5 V, HART, Wireless HART or ISA100.
- Experience with Data Acquisition systems.
- Knowledge of hazardous areas (UKEx, ATEX, IECEx) is desirable.
- Experience in the use of 2D or 3D modelling.
- Good knowledge of technical standards and specifications such as NORSOK, TR2000, ASME, API, PED, ATEX, IOGP, JIP33 etc. – relevant to the Norwegian oil and gas industry.
- General good knowledge of relevant IT tools (Dynamics AX, Teams, Office 365, Internet etc.).
- Good understanding of HSE & Quality.
- Good knowledge of Norwegian and International rules and regulations for Instrument related equipment.
- Good abilities in written and oral communication in English and Norwegian.
- Highly Motivated and commitment to continue to apply skills, learn and further develop within the organisation.
- A good team worker who is supportive, adaptable, accepts challenges and has a pro-active attitude.
- Keen problem solver.
