HSE Administrator – Site (Northern Alberta, Canada)

HSE Administrator: Supporting the HSE Team in the day to day admin duties.

The HSE Administrator is responsible for the daily administrative duties within the department.

They will assist site supervisors to reduce and control unsafe conditions and acts on the work site investigating incidents and maintaining all health and safety bulletins.

  • Responsible for the daily administration of the program on site
  • Post all health and safety bulletins, posters, rules and applicable legislation
  • Assist project superintendents to investigate incidents and to prepare incident reports and summaries Ensure that pertinent reports are submitted as required Prepare written descriptions of identified unsafe conditions and the steps taken to correct these conditions Maintain a list of health and safety equipment purchased File a copy of inspection checklists and equipment/vehicle inspection reports Establish inspection schedules Ensure that corrective action has been taken whenever deficiencies (incidents and unsafe acts/conditions) are identified or reported. Assist with health and safety seminars or training (i.e. driver improvement, confined space, fall protection, etc.) where applicable Maintain current knowledge of health and safety literature, legislation and Codes of Practice Review incident reports to stay informed about project and company health and safety performance .
  • Must be familiar with provincial employment/privacy standards 
  • Proficient in the use of internet and Microsoft Office applications 
  • Strong knowledge of relevant HSE regulations, standards, and best practices 
  • Previous HSE experience in a related industry is desirable
  • Intelligent, with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills 
  • Exceptional communication skills are necessary both oral and written; proven ability to work effectively in a matrix environment 
  • Capable of quickly establishing credibility and persuading professionals at all levels 
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines 
  • Must be familiar with provincial employment/privacy standards 
  • Proficient in the use of internet and Microsoft Office applications
