Mechanical Engineer (Perth Wangara, Australia)
At an exciting time to join Score’s Engineering Team, we are looking for Mechanical Engineers who share their passion and drive for excellence and success.
The Mechanical Engineers role will be to provide technical support to internal company departments and clientele. Score are looking for a range of qualified Mechanical Engineers with a minimum of
3 years’ experience in the oil & gas, mining or other valve related industries. Applicants with leadership, project management and flange management experience are desirable however not essential.
The position will be based in the Perth, Wangara office, with the willingness and ability to travel to Client Offices as required.
- Interface with company departments providing technical and engineering assistance.
- Interface with clientele to provide technical support and engineering solutions.
- Compiling of engineering reports, procedure writing, engineering calculations etc.
- Development of workpacks and associated close out reports.
- Review of procedures, engineering drawings, material certification and other order related documentation to ensure technical compliance in accordance with industry/clientele standards and specifications.
- Produce engineering drawings for design and manufacture (Solid Works / Auto CAD).
- Valve and Actuator sizing.
- Control valve and PSV sizing.
- Flange Management Planning & Coordination.
- Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
- Ensuring that all work performed meets with the requirements of NATA and ISO 9001 standards.
- Ensuring that company and clientele procedures are being followed for all work being carried out.
- Maintaining, at all times, emphasis on safety & quality
- Upholding of Score Values, always.
- Engineering Degree Qualified.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in oil & gas, mining, or other valve related industry.
- Valve based knowledge Oil & Gas, manufacturing, other areas of the valve industry.
- Ability to liaise with multi-discipline peers to coordinate work efficiently.
- Critical thinking and developed analytical skills.
- Proven Proficiency in MS Office Database management (SAP experience advantageous).
- Resourcing planning and co-ordination (desirable).
- Experience in the development of quotations and tenders.
- Experience leading and mentoring graduate engineers (highly desirable).
- Project Management experience (desirable).
- Client CMMS software experience (SAP) (desirable).
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering HSEQ excellence.
