Quality Control Inspector (Newfoundland)
About the role
At an exciting time to join the Score Group team based at our facility in Paradise, Newfoundland, Canada. We are seeking a proactive Quality Control Inspector to support activities. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will work directly under the QHSE Manager and will provide complete QC services within the Marine scope.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated candidates who can work on their own and alongside our experienced engineering team, solving complex technical issues associated with valve products. Candidates must be able to effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.

- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.
- Inspection of purchased certified goods to ensure compliance with the purchase order content, customer requirements, and Score certification requirements.
- Control of non-conforming product and certification.
- Compile valve overhaul reports and test certificates for all types of valves.
- Review of completed job packs prior to dispatch to ensure that Score and customer requirements are satisfied.
- Inspection of completed components prior to dispatch, ensuring customer specific requirements are met during final inspection.
- Calibration of equipment and maintenance of calibration records and schedules, following training.
- Maintain MTN Register and associated documentation.
- Liaise with production team to ensure production targets are met.
- Liaise with internal departments when equipment does not conform to Score quality standards.
- Provide assistance in the continuous improvement of the company’s QHSE management systems.
- Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
- Time split between workshop and office environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as a team player.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and safety, with a flexible approach to change.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering work to a high standard of quality.
- Professional presentation.
- Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the HSEQ Department or demonstrable experience in a similar role with another company.
- Requires ability to interpret work processes / job histories and make informed judgements.
