Quality Technician(Gas Turbines – Peterhead)
The Quality Technician will be supporting the ever-increased workload for New Manufacture, Drawing Office and Accessories support, the vacant position needs filled to meet the current and future demands on the Engineering Department.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.
- Responsible for the collation of First Article Inspection Reports for qualification of manufacture of new parts for the Quality Engineer IAW AS9102
- Responsible for supporting review of Supplier provided First Article Inspection Reports for the Quality Engineer IAW AS9102
- Support the creation of drawing inspection criteria and feature identification on manufacturing drawings using InspectionXpert
- Compile documentation including; Manufacture and Test Job Cards, Materials Certification, generation of bubble diagrams and associated results of manufacture inspection data, Flow test results in accordance with Gage R&R limits
- Use customer specific application (Net-Inspect) for input of documentation to support and compilation of the FAIR
- Assist in compilation of documentation specific to validation of Special Manufacture Processes
- Support Quality Engineer in the handling queries generated by the customer on production of parts arising from product non-conformance
- Support activities contributing to the meeting of Key Performance Indicators with respect to FAIRs parameters including; on-time review of supplier FAIRs, first time pass of FAIRs
- Modern apprenticeship

HNC or HND Qualification in an Engineering Discipline (Desirable but not essential)
- Previous experience in Quality monitoring activities for new product (Desirable but not essential)

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft packages is essential

Understanding of technical drawings – advantageous
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management to convey necessary information
- Ability to serve as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Self-motivated with the ability to work constructively and efficiently when given deadlines
- Proficient IT Skills in use of Microsoft Office
