Tube Cell Senior Tech(Gas Turbines – Peterhead)
The Tube Cell Senior Tech is directly responsible for providing supervision, guidance and support to all team members within the tube cell, driving for high quality and on time delivery of all tube components and assemblies while ensuring D365 system is utilised & maintained.
- Liaise with MFR Scheduler and prioritise all tube cell work accordingly.
- Ensure each machine is manned accordingly based on requirements flowed down by MFR Scheduler.
- Liaise with TL’s from NDT, Assembly, Flow Room, Dimensional Inspection and QA to ensure components return to the department as per agreed timelines.
- Lead weekly production meeting and provide information on cover available for the upcoming week.
- Where applicable, investigate defective and/or scrap components/ support Disposition team, raise INC’s where applicable, attend RCA meeting and ensure any actions to prevent re-occurrence are carried out in a timely manner.
- Provide Technical support to all workshop personnel, and where required make key decisions.
- Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with Score policies, procedures and work Instructions.
- Embrace continuous improvement exercises and endeavour to improve efficiency, profitability, quality and delivery performance at all times.
- Responsible for ensuring that Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and general housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
- Deal with the day-to-day personnel issues, i.e. Timekeeping, Work Ethic, Grievances, Disciplinary issues etc.
- Ensuring all Tube Cell Job Cards are completed correctly.
- Ensure D365 time bookings and operations are completed & correct, transfer of timesheet registrations.
- Communicate with Production Management on a regular basis with regards to any technical, personnel or resource issues.
- Health and Safety Responsibilities
- Machining or Mechanical Apprenticeship (or equivalent)
- Machining or Mechanical SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience in running a workshop (CNC tube bending / machining experience would be advantageous)
- Good Communication & Leadership skills
- Good Problem solving and Analytical behaviour
- Good Technical, commercial and organisational skills
- Previous supervisory experience in a workshop shop environment
- Ability to schedule work across multiple machines
- Positive attitude towards HSE&Q initiatives
- Good Communication & Leadership skills
