Wellhead Valve Technician (Peterhead)
The Wellhead Valve Technician will be responsible for carrying out disassembly, assembly, maintenance, overhaul and recertification of equipment as directed by the workshop team lead in line with company, HSEQ standards.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions
- Carry our various testing scopes including FAT, SIT and specialised testing scopes
- Inspection, overhaul, maintenance and recertification of Subsea valves and actuators
- Inspection, overhaul, maintenance and recertification of Xmas tree and Wellhead
- Troubleshooting and problem solving of all valves, wellhead and actuator issues
- Provide core competence in use of valve flushing
- Provide core competence in use of all torque and tensioning equipment
- Execution of risk assessments and hazard assessments (Start Cards) on all related work scopes
- Provide technical support to all valve workshop teams
- Ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
- Willingness to support offsite/offshore activities as and when required in accordance with the client and/or the company’s requirements (preferred)
- Ensure all workshop equipment and tooling are maintained regularly and all records kept up to date
- Responsible for the general housekeeping within and surrounding the department
- SVQ Level 3 in relevant technical discipline
- Completed an engineering apprenticeship (preferred)
- Be fully competent working alone on all valve and actuator types
- Demonstrable workshop/technician experience within a valve/wellhead workshop environment is preferred
- Experience of working autonomously and experience of leading a team is desirab
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team and to take own initiative

- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering HSEQ excellence
