About the role
At an exciting time to join the Score Group team based at our facility in Paradise, Newfoundland, Canada. We are seeking a proactive Workshop Team Leader to support activities. Reporting to the Operations Director, the Workshop Team Leader will ensure seamless operations and uphold our high standards across all facets of our workshop activities.
We are looking for a Workshop Team Leader who will be responsible for ensuring all jobs are processed through the workshop to completion. The Team Leader supports, coaches and manages all team members including apprentices / trainees.

- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.
- Provide technical support to the workshop team.
- Prioritizing workload and labour to achieve maximum capacity to meeting deadlines.
- Ensure adequate cover if provided on all shifts.
- Plan and co-ordinate project work.
- Prepare for and attend production meetings.
- Update status reports.
- Arrange any third-party repairs and maintenance of fixed plant or equipment.
- Sourcing and purchasing of materials, consumables and tooling.
- Arrange any third party or sub-contracting workshops.
- Monitoring and controlling costs of materials and labour on jobs.
- Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
- Our working conditions vary. They range from indoor and outdoor, on-shore and off-shore, nightshift, weekends as well as on client sites.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, both onshore and offshore, including client sites.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and safety, with a flexible approach to change.
- Participate and encourage others to participate in company Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) initiatives.
- Work within the company’s policies, procedures, operating standards, and work instructions.
- Maintain a safe working environment to avoid risks to self and others.
- Effective communication skills and a professional presentation.
- Ability to work independently as well as a team player.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering work to a high standard of quality.
- Diploma in Mechanical (Manufacturing) Engineering Technology, Instrumentation or similar diploma.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within a workshop.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a project-based or industrial setting or additional qualifications in a relevant field is a plus.
- Fully competent working alone on all valve and actuator types.
