We have the full range of disciplines in-house required to safely and competently overhaul, repair and re-build any valve. These include engineering and design, drawing office, fitting workshops, machining, welding, plating/coating, NDT, painting, and performance testing on both hydrostatic and gas.

PSV Maintenance & Planning Services

We are experts in the overhaul, maintenance and recertification of all types of Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs). In addition to our global workshop facilities, we own the largest fleet of mobile valve workshop containers in the world.

We have an extensive stock holding of PSV spares including both hard and soft parts. We also have the expertise and capability to provide online testing of PSVs with no reliance on sub-contractors.

In addition to the on and off-site testing, servicing and overhaul of PSVs, many clients ask us to manage PSVs on their behalf. Our PSV management services include:

Control Valve Management

We pride ourselves on our control valve knowledge and experience. All Score technicians are multi skilled and control valve maintenance is a key element of their training.

Our V-Scan diagnostics condition monitoring equipment is used extensively during maintenance activities to diagnose problems without dismantling valves and thus minimising downtime. Accurate diagnosis often means that corrective maintenance can be limited to instrument recalibration or replacement. We have a team of technical control valve engineers and technical authorities who provide failure analysis services, application reviews and troubleshooting.

We use specialist software to perform detailed analysis of control valve problems such as cavitation, flashing, noise, energy dissipation, vibration and erosion potential. We also provide Finite Element Analysis and Computation Fluid Dynamics engineering services. We regularly model and analyse complex mechanical and fluid coupling problems in order to recommend and provide practical and cost-effective solutions.

We are the preferred service company for the world’s leading valve manufacturers and these approvals extend to modification and upgrade work. The full listing contains over 150 Letters of Support and these are available on request.

We have excellent relationships with OEMs and are entirely independent of all valve manufacturers and suppliers. This ensures that Score provides an impartial third-party consultancy function to industry in relation to valve issues. We are fully capable of re-engineering and can use fit-for-purpose non-OEM spare parts or make engineering modifications during equipment repair.

Our extensive global facilities and dedicated technicians enable any size of valve or actuator to be stripped and inspected prior to refurbishment or enhancement. Refurbishment capabilities include the application of advanced coatings technology to valves and actuators to prevent premature failure and valve degradation.
