Business Support (Peterhead, Scotland)
Overview
- Apprenticeship duration: 2 or 3 years (dependent on progress)
- During the first year, you will attend our partner training provider on a day-release basis
- The other 4 days per week will be spent working within one of our departments
Qualifications you will work towards
- A National Certificate (NC) in a business-related subject
- An SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a business discipline to suit your role
Experience you will gain
You will be supported each step of the way in developing your knowledge and skills in a variety of office-based work tasks.
Typical responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include the management of emails and telephone calls, compiling and updating job progress and status reports, processing computer-based data, building relationships with various departments, and ensuring accurate record keeping.
Business support roles are available in departments including HSE, IT, Logistics and Materials, Production Support, Client Services and Quality Services.
Entry requirements
Our preferred applicants will hold the following qualifications:
- Highers at grade C and above or
- A National Certificate (NC) qualification in a related discipline
Those with National 5 qualifications will be considered based on the experience they have gained since achieving their qualifications.
Selection process
Applicants that meet the above entry requirements will be invited to undertake a skills test. Successful applicants will then be taken forward to the next stage of the selection process.
