“Working at Score has helped me to develop new skills while progressing my education and career at the same time. Without the opportunities that Score has provided for me I wouldn’t of been able to do this.”

Tell us about your role at Score and how you got there?

I am a graduate apprentice at Score VAC currently in the 4th year of my degree at Robert Gordon University. Before joining Score, I was at Mintlaw Academy studying my higher qualifications when I decided to apply for a role and begin my career in engineering.

When you reflect on your career, what makes you most proud?

Reflecting on my career I am proud to of had the chance to compete and win the Scottish Craft Competition and having the opportunity to progress through my apprenticeship while gaining my degree in engineering at the same time.

What do you enjoy about working at Score?

Working at Score has helped me to develop new skills while progressing my education and career at the same time. Without the opportunities that Score has provided for me I wouldn’t of been able to do this.

What would you tell someone considering a job or apprenticeship at Score?

I would recommend a Score Apprenticeship to anyone interested in an engineering career that doesn’t want to go down the conventional university or college routes. Score provides lots of learning opportunities such as their graduate apprenticeships where you can gain a degree and modern apprenticeship at the same time.
