Tell us about your role at Score and how you got there?
I chose a Score apprenticeship because I wanted to gain professional experience while learning on the job. I’m part of the HR team within Score and deal with any day to day queries any employees may have and help maintain the HR systems. One of my main roles is to book training either internally or externally for any employees. It is important that staff get the required training as this will make their work be of a higher quality/standard and will reduce any faults. I heard about the business and admin apprenticeship when I was still at school and attended a Score open night in one of their buildings. I spoke to a member of HR and put my application form in and was successful in obtaining an apprenticeship.
When you reflect on your career what make you most proud?
When I look back at my career, I’m so proud of what I have achieved. To be chosen as part of the HR team was a highlight for me. Joining Score has made me a much more confident and happier person and I have loved every minute so far and hope to continue to contribute to the department and the company as a whole.
What do you enjoy about working at Score?
Working at Score has been a great experience for me. The team I work with is very supportive and everyone gets on well. My team leader is very supportive with any issues I have but will also challenge me with issuing me certain jobs that need dealt with. I like that everyone in Score works well together and if there are any complications, everyone is happy enough to work together to find a solution.
What would you tell someone considering a job or apprenticeship at Score?
I would highly recommend a Score Business & Admin apprenticeship to anyone who is thinking about it, it’s the best choice I have ever made. The mentoring, support and training is better than any I could get with going anywhere else when I left school. The greatest thought of all is that I get the opportunity to obtain a lifetime career.
