New Apprentice Intake for Peterhead

This week, 11 school leavers took the first steps in Score’s Modern Apprenticeship programme when they began their training with Peterhead-based provider, Peterhead Engineers Development Limited (PEDL).

The trainees will spend the first year of their training with PEDL, working towards completion of the Performing Engineering Operations (PEO) Level 2 and National Certificate (NC) in Manufacturing Engineering qualifications. The remaining years of the apprenticeship will be a blend of both on-the-job training and assessment, and college studies.

Since their induction on Monday, the group has been learning remotely, but PEDL has implemented procedures that they hope will allow face-to-face teaching to resume safely, as soon as government restrictions allow.

Score looks forward to welcoming the apprentices into the company in the coming year.
